People who experience problems with excessive sweat can have this condition for one of several different reasons. Hyperhidrosis is typically the medical term that is given for people who have problems where they sweat too much. There are two different types of hyperhidrosis, however, primary hyperhidrosis and secondary hyperhidrosis.
Primary hyperhidrosis is actually a problem with the nervous system in which a person will sweat, typically excessive sweat in one area of their body or another. Most of the times, this excessive sweat will be realized in an area that contains many sweat glands such as the head, palms of the hands, under the arms, the feet, or any other area of their body where sweat glands reside. Those who suffer from primary hyperhidrosis do not typically sweat throughout their entire body, it is confined to one area or another.
People who have secondary hyperhidrosis actually sweat because of another underlying cause. This cause can differentiate from patient to patient and may be things such as hormonal changes in the body (such as those that are experienced during menopause or a typical monthly cycle), problems with some of the glands or any number of different diseases. The best way to treat those with secondary hyperhidrosis is to get to the root of their problem in order to pick out the underlying cause. Once this is done then you will be able to treat the disease at its source and not simply try to suppress the symptoms.
Anybody who has a real problem with excessive sweat knows that there are not a lot of different options that are available. Some things that may be done are typically just drug store potions that are meant to help those who do not have a real problem with excessive sweat. They may be able to mask the symptoms but that's what it will continue. Most people who have to put up with excessive sweat on a continuous basis tend to look for more of a natural cure for their problem. You may find that a natural cure is the way that you will be able to solve your excessive sweating problem as well.
